Here's a tasty sampling of some gnarly tracks that I have been rocking to in my favorite music month: Jaaammmuary. So feast your ear pussies off and remember, you should wait until everyone has been served before you feed.
This first track makes you feel like you're living in a 1973 pornographic film, that is, if said adult film featured robots, flying cars and neon lights. Upon listening, if you find yourself suddenly in golden underwear, holding an oversized brandy snifter of Courvoisier, Lazersaurus Rex waves all liability.
I know that their album came out much earlier this year, but I have really been on a huge Florence + The Machine kick this month. Let Florence Welch's rich and powerful voice wash over you, in an awesome wave. These two are off album tracks which I hope you dig as much as I do.
Traditionally, in ancient Mayan folklore, the month of Jaaammmuary was spent by the tribesmen expanding their minds through epic journeys, hallucinogens, and tasty, heady tracks. This shit brings the funk.
Gucci Mane makes me want to give up my top siders for a pair of these and a set of these. This track is my favorite off of his new Mixtape.
FM Attack is nasty. Also, second sickest name of an act in the indietronica world, next to Miami Horror. This remix will get you groovin'.
A bit slower, but listen to this jam once and you'll be humming its mesmerizing hook for days.
This song is old, but I feel as though I would be doing you a disservice by not posting it. If you have heard it, then you know what I'm talking about, if not, get on the mothafucka!
This jam is dirty. The driving, 80's style synth drum throughout will make ya head nod. Hold onto your nuts at 3:30 into the track.
