Stay Close

Sorry to all our readers for the silence, Tweezy has been soaking up the sun on vacation this past week. But back to the music: OH SHIT. NEW DELOREAN?! Yes you heard correctly, Delorean just released the first single from their upcoming full-length album. After bringing the heat with their Ayrton Senna EP, Delorean have been quiet for awhile. Well the wait is over. “Stay Close” is all we have to come to love from them and more. Based around a house-y synth line and with echoing vocals interwoven behind the eclectic beat this song has me unbelievably pumped up for the album. Download now.

This one is sick. Some serious thugged out/blissed out dirty south meets glo-fi magic. “Geeked Out” by Cop Magnet has the fuzzy, tape hiss feel that we have come to love but with a booming gangster banger of a beat behind it. You’ll want to listen to this one over and over guaranteed.

Next up is one of the best pieces of breathy electro-pop that has come my way in a long time. “Burn Bridges” by DOM is an expansive, billowing track that centers around an awesome synth riff over an upbeat 2-step. The song breaks and washes over you like a wave, coming very close to pop perfection. Listen to this on the beach with the sun in your eyes.

Here’s a track that came my way last week and has been featuring heavily on my vacation playlist. “5 Rings” by Brooklyn trio Keepaway morphs and shifts as the track progresses; building into something amazing by the end.

Just got this song from electro-pop trio Chew Lips. Hadn’t heard anything from them before but this is a simple, echoing, uplifting track with a dank female vocalist. I think all our readers will enjoy this one.
