NBA Street Jams

I have been deeply thinking about the maginificence of pick up basketball and felt I needed a soundtrack.

Here are a couple of jams to help you get into a grove on the court

This is a sick funk jam to get you warmed up for the obligatory statue of liberty dunking you will be performing

JRawls The Liquid Crystal Project-TribTroy (TurntableJazz)

Mos def has to make an appearance on this list. In addition to kicking out fresh tracks with the Gorillaz - he has been back to his usual smooth as a menthol solo work

Mos Def - Auditorium

Once the game is over - there is nothing better than celebrating to radical cover songs of rock and electronic tunes. Hawa has a cool way of taking D.A.N.C.E by justice and making it sound like an old vinyl track

Hawa - D.A.N.C.E (Justice Cover)

The Golden Filter is a Untz favorite and they ripped a solid cover of The White Stripes

The Golden Filter - The Hardest Button to Button (White Stripes Cover)

Finally and completely off topic from all of the other tracks is this catchy tune from Francois Peglau, who produces complety indepedant tunes with heavy influences from the 60s. It has a cool motown ring to it.

Francois Peglau - One minute til Midnight (so sad)
