There's something to be said for a disco production duo who record with all live instruments and vintage synths. DFA's Holy Ghost! have been churning out remixes for the likes of Phoenix, Cut Copy, MGMT, and Panthers for years; not to mention producing a few knockout tracks of their own. This past week the duo released a cover of "On Board" by Friendly Fires, giving it the DFA disco touch with a thumping bassline and spacey synths echoing throughout.Friendly Fires Returned the favor, covering Holy Ghost's classic "Hold On." They keep the song structure the same but beef up the production with some interesting synth and drum work, definitely worth a few listens.
